How to Edit the Single Blog Page Style with a Sidebar

The Frontis Theme provides multiple layout options for blog posts, including left sidebar and right sidebar templates. You can easily customize these layouts using the WordPress Site Editor.

Follow the steps below to edit the Single Blog Page Style with a Sidebar in the Frontis Theme.

Open the WordPress Site Editor

  1. Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Appearance → Editor.
  3. This will open the Full Site Editor , where you can customize templates.

Select the Sidebar Layout Template

  1. In the Editor, go to Templates (found in the left panel).
  2. Find the template-single-left-sidebar or template-single-right-sidebar, depending on where you want the sidebar to appear.
  3. Click on the template to open it for editing.

Customize the Single Blog Page with Sidebar

Once inside the Single Blog Page (Sidebar Layout) template, you can modify its structure:

1. Modify Sidebar Content

  1. Click on the Sidebar Section and add, remove, or rearrange widgets.
  2. You can add blocks like:
    ✔ Recent Posts
    ✔ Categories
    ✔ Tags
    ✔ Custom Text or Images

2. Edit Main Blog Content

  1. The Post Title, Featured Image, Content, and Metadata are dynamic and will update for all blog posts.
  2. You can modify their typography, spacing, or visibility.

3. Remove Unwanted Sections

  1. If you don’t need the comments section, author bio, or any other part, click on it and press Delete (🗑️).

4. Add Static Content

  1. If you want additional static sections (like a CTA or banner), click “+” and add a new block.

Save and Preview

  1. Click Save to apply the changes.
  2. Visit a blog post using the sidebar layout to see the updates in action.
